Badminton is a great sport for children and in our programme we deliver sessions for those that are both new to the game as well as the developing/advanced players. We teach badminton in a fun and safe environment, building youngsters’ confidence whilst developing tactical and technical skills which in turn are transitioned into match play.
It’s not just about racquets and shuttles – there are a number of elements that make badminton a great game to play. Here at Surrey Sports Park, we have a fun coaching team who work hard to ensure your child has the best experience.
The club is split into Beginner / Intermediate and Emerging / Advanced sessions, allowing players to train at the correct level to get the best out of each individual. Players joining the club will be graded by our Head Coach at their first session to ensure they are placed into the most suitable group.
Our programme is split into two blocks with the first half running until October half-term, with a new block starting from early November. These two session blocks must be booked separately and details can be found below.
A weekly no-commitment Badminton session. Perfect for those wanting to play organised matched in a fun and friendly environment. Shuttles & rackets are provided, just show up and play! Bookable now through your online account.
The club will focus on the fun element of badminton and gives players a chance to try the sport. Concentrating on co-ordination and skills needed in badminton, the players will learn grips, technique, different shots, scoring and play lots of fun games. Not suitable for club/county players.

At Surrey Sports Park, we believe that all badminton players should be taught the basics before they progress onto the next level. Club sessions will focus on footwork, technique and tactical areas of the game whilst having fun, and this session is for beginners to intermediate players.

The club will cover all areas of badminton including movement, tactics, grip changing, shot practice and match play. This club is for intermediate to advanced players and players will also be eligible to represent the club in local league matches and tournaments. Not suitable for beginners to the game.
