As the London & South East Centre for Squash & Racketball, there’s no better place to get involved in squash in the Guildford area. Our world-class squash and racketball facilities consist of 6 international standard glass-backed courts including 2 premium show courts seating 160 spectators, where you can enjoy squash at its best.
Surrey Sports Park provides an environment for every squash player no matter your age or ability. We pride ourselves on being accessible to new and returning squash players, and our core group of members are passionate about the game at all levels. Social interaction between members is a key part of what we offer, and you will find our squash community a warm and welcoming one.
Squash is one of the healthiest sports according to personal trainers, coaches and exercise physiologists surveyed by Forbes Magazine. In 40 minutes of squash you get a massive cardiorespiratory workout. Extended rallies and almost constant running builds muscular strength and endurance in the lower body, while lunges, twists and turns increase flexibility in the back and abdomen. For people getting into the game, it’s almost too much to sustain, but once you get there, there’s no looking back.
“I have played Squash at Surrey Sports park for over three years, finding the Squash Club at SSP was a ‘breath of fresh air’. Since joining SSP I have changed my game somewhat; with shots becoming much more subtle and controlled. I think this is down to the environment at SSP. I have introduced a number of people which has opportunities for all levels. To those who are thinking of playing at SSP I would say come along, watch, ask questions and get involved!”
“Easy booking, excellent value for money, well-kept courts and the social side of this club makes it a fantastic club to play squash at. I particularly enjoy the box Leagues, Tuesday night group training sessions with Jesse Engelbrecht and the internal club championships, It’s healthy competition! Get stuck in, you’ll be made to feel welcome very quickly!”
“Excellent modern squash facilities and a dedicated squash coaching team led by an inspirational chief coach in Jesse Engelbrecht. In my nearly 40 years of playing squash this is the best club I have joined. There are a number of leagues catering for all abilities but members also have the ability to arrange friendly matches so there is a good club atmosphere. Jesse runs the club very effectively and puts on a number of squash events which members enjoy attending. Come and join an excellent club with national grade facilities and learn to improve your game.”

“I have played at SSP for many years now and it has guided me through my squash development. I first picked up a racket in the Sports Park and I have been hooked ever since. All the time I have been here there has always been a high-quality coach who is dedicated to help me improve. I now feel at home playing at SSP as everyone is so welcoming.”

From Saturday 19th September, it will be essential for every person in Surrey Sports Park’s communal areas to wear a face covering. This is in-line with the campus-wide policy introduced by the University of Surrey.
The policy does not apply whilst taking part in sport and exercise and activity areas are exempt.
The University considers that the responsibility of wearing a face covering sits with individuals and we expect all our staff, students and public to adhere to this requirement where possible.
Please be mindful and respectful towards members of our community who, due to exceptional circumstances, may be unable to wear a face covering; their reasons may not be visible to others.
