Safeguarding

Surrey Sports Park is committed to ensuring all participants of Sport have a right to be safe and enjoy their sport or activity.

SSP’s Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy is in place to ensure that all young people and venerable adults at SSP are protected from harm and are safe to enjoy sport or any activity within SSP. We ask those in the vicinity of young people and vulnerable adults at SSP to be conscious and aware of these procedures and abide by them fully.

It is important that all individuals working with Young People and vulnerable adults behave in an appropriate manner, operating within an accepted ethical framework. This will protect both the Young People and the Adults within SSP.

Copies of the Surrey Sports Park Safeguarding Policy are available upon request by contacting our Safeguarding leads at ssp-safeguarding@surrey.ac.uk

If you have any concerns that you wish to report please contact the Sports Park Safeguarding Leads at ssp-safeguarding@surrey.ac.uk or asking at reception to speak to a safeguarding lead.

If you feel an individual is in immediate danger, please contact the police on 999

Guest Notice – Face Coverings

From Saturday 19th September, it will be essential for every person in Surrey Sports Park’s communal areas to wear a face covering. This is in-line with the campus-wide policy introduced by the University of Surrey.

The policy does not apply whilst taking part in sport and exercise and activity areas are exempt.

The University considers that the responsibility of wearing a face covering sits with individuals and we expect all our staff, students and public to adhere to this requirement where possible.

Please be mindful and respectful towards members of our community who, due to exceptional circumstances, may be unable to wear a face covering; their reasons may not be visible to others.

Thank you,

Surrey Sports Park
