Hydrotherapy

What is Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy involves undertaking a specific set of exercises whilst submerged to varying depths in water. Immersion in water reduces the impact through joints and is therefore an excellent form of rehabilitation for pain felt under load or injuries that require a reduction in load bearing at a particular stage of healing.

It is commonly used by athletes as a recovery tool after hard training sessions or competition, to increase heart rate when unable to weight bear or when recovering from injury to progressively increase weight-bearing load.
