Enjoy SSP For FREE At Our Open Day!

Surrey Sports Park opens its doors for FREE on Saturday 24 August, offering a range of events and world-class facilities as part of The Nation’s Biggest Sports Day.

Dedicated as a nationwide day for the whole of Britain to get active, it is inspired by the achievements of Team GB athletes and the amazing efforts of local community heroes.

Visitors to Surrey Sports Park will be able to use its Olympic-size swimming pool – which was used by athletes training for the London 2012 Olympic Games – as well as the Surrey Summit Climbing Wall, squash, badminton and tennis courts, 120-station gym, and even two special outdoor yoga sessions – all for absolutely FREE!

The Open Day starts at 10am and everybody is welcome to just drop in until 4pm.

All racquet sports are free for everybody throughout the day, with the swimming pool available from 11.30am, and the gym from midday until 3pm. Two 60-minute outdoor yoga sessions (weather permitting) start at 11am and 1pm. One-hour climbing sessions will be available at 10.30am, 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm, with limited places available for registration on the day. The Park’s Starbucks and Bench Sports Bar will also be open to purchase refreshments.

All attenders are also welcome to watch some of the best young footballers in the country compete for the London Champions Cup on our pitches. Matches featuring Malaga, Crystal Palace, Southampton, Fulham and more kick-off between 10am and 2pm on Saturday.

Surrey Sports Park, on the Manor Park campus at the University of Surrey, is one of Europe’s premier sites for elite sport, physical activity, well-being and leisure.
