Surrey Sports Park is delighted to announce a new partnership with Yonex UK, as sponsors of its hugely popular badminton programme.
Yonex UK will be the sole provider of badminton equipment at the Sports Park over a two year term and will provide coaches with branded clothing, racquets, shoes and shuttlecocks.
In addition, Yonex UK will also host a number of demo days throughout the partnership offering all badminton players to have an opportunity to try out all the latest Yonex racquets.
Gordon Gwilliam, Yonex UK Racquet Sales Manager, believes the partnership will help to grow badminton in the area commenting: “Yonex UK is pleased to announce our new partnership with Surrey Sports Park and supporting the continued development of Badminton in Surrey.
The Yonex philosophy, ‘Contribute to the World through innovative technology and the highest quality products’ outlines our desire to continue supporting badminton for all.
Working together to create more fans of Badminton will be enhanced by the facilities at Surrey Sports Park and the passion of the Coaches and Staff to give badminton players of all levels a great experience”
Speaking about the new partnership, Director of Sport, Gavin Baker, added:
“We’re delighted to have Yonex UK on board here at Surrey Sports Park. Our aim is to always provide our members and visitors with the highest standard of sporting opportunities, and with Yonex UK alongside us we know we can do just that.
Our coaches will be provided with Yonex’s best in class equipment, which will assist them in providing the highest standard of coaching.
We look forward to working together to create the best badminton experience in Surrey”.
From Saturday 19th September, it will be essential for every person in Surrey Sports Park’s communal areas to wear a face covering. This is in-line with the campus-wide policy introduced by the University of Surrey.
The policy does not apply whilst taking part in sport and exercise and activity areas are exempt.
The University considers that the responsibility of wearing a face covering sits with individuals and we expect all our staff, students and public to adhere to this requirement where possible.
Please be mindful and respectful towards members of our community who, due to exceptional circumstances, may be unable to wear a face covering; their reasons may not be visible to others.
