Team Treatment Room doesn’t just involve our practitioners, we also work with our personal trainers at Surrey Sports Park to ensure you leave us in the best condition possible.
If you’re struggling to increase your training due to a recurring niggle, or are unsure what exercises you’re safe to do, The Treatment Room will be able to assess your needs and can liaise with one of our personal trainers to help shape the best program for you.
Our professionals work together to ensure you receive the right information, rehab or training plan; sharing knowledge so you receive the skills of our whole team.
Many of our clients have benefitted from this team work, Brian being a great example of how our dedicated team can help you get the most out of our facilities.
Brian was seeing Physiotherapists through the NHS for one year with neck pain. Following discharge, he sought expertise from our personal trainer Ryan Keates to increase his rehabilitation. Ryan worked with The Treatment Room’s Clinic Manager, Danielle Garfoot, to continue the work from the hospital. Brian’s program gradually and safely progressed with a focus on the exercises for Brian’s neck condition. Brian said,
“Danielle liaised with the hospital and then together with Ryan tweaked my programme so as to maximise my recovery. I can’t recommend SSP highly enough for their care and encouragement, they also keep me smiling.”
Another client that made the most of our ability to work closely with our in-house trainers was Rolf. Following an induction with Ollie Shead, our Health & Fitness Supervisor, Rolf was recommended strength training with Ryan. Unfortunately, before starting his sessions Rolf injured himself walking his dog. This lead to sessions in The Treatment Room with our Sports Therapist Gemma Hendry. Gemma and Ryan discussed his progress and were able to design an appropriate plan using their expertise in different fields to get Rolf back on track.
“Thanks to Gemma & Ryan I am in the best shape I have ever been in.”

From Saturday 19th September, it will be essential for every person in Surrey Sports Park’s communal areas to wear a face covering. This is in-line with the campus-wide policy introduced by the University of Surrey.
The policy does not apply whilst taking part in sport and exercise and activity areas are exempt.
The University considers that the responsibility of wearing a face covering sits with individuals and we expect all our staff, students and public to adhere to this requirement where possible.
Please be mindful and respectful towards members of our community who, due to exceptional circumstances, may be unable to wear a face covering; their reasons may not be visible to others.
