A new round of Surrey Sports Park health, fitness and wellbeing courses begins this week – with something to suit every taste, target and body type.
Yoga courses for both Beginners and Improvers – people with some previous experience – begin on Monday 4 March with six hour-long sessions running every Monday at 5.55pm for Beginners and 7.05pm for Improvers, until 8 April.
Four Friday lunchtime yoga sessions, running weekly from 1 – 22 March from 12-1pm, are also available to help you Recharge and Destress after a hard week at work!
An exercise designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the balance of your body, our six-week Foundation Pilates course commences on Tuesday 5 March at 7.30pm and runs until 9 April.
Girls Who Lift will teach women everything they need to know about weight-training, to build their technique and confidence in that area of the gym. Our six-week course, which starts week commencing 11 March, now runs on a Tuesday morning from 10-11am and on Thursday evenings from 6-7pm. Working in small groups, Girls Who Lift ensures a personal approach for every participant and is now led by Level 3 PT Katie Sindle. Katie has worked in the fitness industry for over six years, with particular expertise in weight training and strength development. She has competed in half-marathons and triathlons, and also has experience of CrossFit and swimming. Her biggest passion is to help build women’s confidence in strength training so they are able to approach the weights area with skill and confidence, making her the perfect woman to lead this course.
Battlecamp, our toughest, most intense course with two outdoor bootcamps per week for six weeks, returns on Monday 4 March to push participants to the limit! Challenging your speed, strength, agility and stamina to take your fitness to the next level, Battlecamp provides the perfect environment for people preparing for ToughMudder, Spartan Race and Warrior Dash events. Evening Battlecamps are held on Monday and Wednesday, with daytime sessions on Tuesday and Thursday.
