For our guest users, a swimming session is £4.80 per hour. You must also register as a guest on our online booking platform to book ahead of arriving.
Access to the pool is only permitted to those who have pre-booked via the online service.
Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before the start time of your booking.
On arrival please proceed to the front of the building where you can check in at reception. You may be asked to queue briefly to the left of our entrance.
When you check in you will be given a wristband which is colour coded for the section of the Changing Village that you may use. Please wear this throughout the session.
You will no longer be given a locker key, there will be two lockers opposite your changing cubicle available for you to use. You will need to bring a £1 coin or token to be able to use the lockers.
After checking in you can proceed through our turnstiles and turn right to access the Changing Village. You will make your way to your allocated cubicle where you can change ready to swim. In the changing village we encourage the use of face coverings, as the cubicle corridors are narrow.
Once swim ready you will be asked to take a quick shower and display your wristband. You will then be ready to proceed to your lane.
For the swimming pool the changing rooms are open and you will be allocated a specific cubicle and locker for use during your session.
These are colour coded to the wristband which you will receive upon entry. Please see the below image for an example.
Whilst in the changing village we encourage the use of face coverings and ask you to please respect social distancing. The reason for this is because in the changing village our corridors are less than 2 metres wide.
You will no longer be given a locker key, there will be two lockers opposite your changing cubicle available for you to use. You will need to bring a £1 coin or token to be able to use the lockers.
After your swim, you should return to your allocated cubicle to change.
Swimmers are required to clean the cubicle and locker after use using the cleaning supplies provided.
A keep left policy is in place on all pathways and corridors to encourage social distancing and we ask you to follow this. We also have signage encouraging social detailing Swim England guidance which is displayed around changing area.
Our other main measures are:
If you have concerns, please raise them with a member of Surrey Sports Park staff.
We ask all users to take responsibility while using our pool and to adhere to the guidance set by Swim England and the government.
People of different standards and abilities will use the pool. Please respect their right to enjoy their swim. To help with this we ask all swimmers to:
As it is only lane swimming that is available, you must only bring children if they will be following the lane swimming directions and etiquette. They should be able to swim at least 25 metres without needing to stop as our shallow end only extends 12.5 metres, at which point the pool slopes down to become 2 metres deep.
We would like to remind you that if you are accompanied by your children, you are responsible for supervising them at all times and should follow social distancing guidelines.
Any children will need to be booked on to the session using an account on our booking system. This can be a guest account created by the parent or one of our junior memberships (for more information please email membership@surreysportspark.co.uk ). Anyone under the age of 16 must always have a guardian with them when visiting the building. Any unaccompanied children will be stopped at Front of House, where we will help them to contact their guardian.
Please check this advice page regarding all enquiries and contact us by email if you have an urgent issue regarding court bookings. Please direct enquiries to info@surreysportspark.co.uk
Please note that currently all pool bookings can only be made online.
Covid-19 Tier 4 update
We’re sad to announce that following the government announcement that we are in Tier 4 Surrey Sports Park will be closed until we are advised we can reopen.
An email with more information has been sent to all our members. If you do not receive it then please check your junk folder or contact memberships@surreysportspark.co.uk
Keep safe and well during this time and we hope to see you back at Surrey Sports Park again soon!
From Saturday 19th September, it will be essential for every person in Surrey Sports Park’s communal areas to wear a face covering. This is in-line with the campus-wide policy introduced by the University of Surrey.
The policy does not apply whilst taking part in sport and exercise and activity areas are exempt.
The University considers that the responsibility of wearing a face covering sits with individuals and we expect all our staff, students and public to adhere to this requirement where possible.
Please be mindful and respectful towards members of our community who, due to exceptional circumstances, may be unable to wear a face covering; their reasons may not be visible to others.
Thank you,
Surrey Sports Park
