My passion lies within strength and conditioning and athletic performance development, specifically helping athletes in team and individual sports to improve their performance.
Having completed a Sports Science degree as well as gaining experience working within a professional football academy I have developed a wide range of knowledge which I enjoy passing on to help others reach their performance and fitness goals.
Come and see me for advice on weight loss, building lean muscle mass, form and technique correction, nutritional advice, or dealing with anxieties around exercise/the gym environment. I will be happy to help!
My own training consists of a range of free-weight exercises, calisthenics movement, HIIT, core strength, running and stretching. I also train for Roller Derby twice a week with Surrey Roller Girls. I have a keen interest in skating, climbing, handstands, yoga, cycling, and vegan/vegetarian nutrition in partnership with exercise.
I completed my Master’s in Strength and Conditioning at the University Gloucestershire in 2017, having previously finished my Bachelor’s in Sport Coaching. Since leaving University I have undertaken two Internships’ within professional sporting environments which have provided me with the chance to practically apply my theoretical knowledge.
More recently I been working with clients from a variety of backgrounds to achieve their person health and wellbeing goal, whether that be performance based or just making day to day life easier.
In Addition to working at SSP I am also Head of Strength and Conditioning at Dorking RFC (National 3). Furthermore, I have trained a number of individual athletes across a wide range of different sporting disciplines.
I am a friendly and approachable trainer, who has the ability to bring realistic and achievable goals set out for clients. I am also very serious about my own personal health and training, leading me to have a successful background in powerlifting, from which lead me to study Strength and Conditioning Science at University level.
Over my years of training I have participated in many competitions all the way from a novice level to a world standard level in powerlifting. I went on to compete in the British Championships and then the World Championships which were held in the USA, in which I took gold medal and first place in my category (WDFPA 2012).
I strive to get the best out of my clients and recognise that each individual will respond differently to training, as a result I will work alongside you to improve your confidence within the gym, provide consistent feedback and tailor your programme to your specific goals, whatever they may be.
