Girls who Lift

Are you looking to increase confidence in the free-weights area and build the body you have always wanted?

Girls Who Lift is our unique women-only course, taken by two female personal trainers, designed to teach you how to add free-weights into your workouts and perform these exercises with confidence.

From mastering the perfect technique in the squat, deadlift, pull up and hip thrust, to learning all about barbells and dumbbells, this course will help any beginner get the most out of their gym workouts in a small, non-judgemental group.

Each week, you will also receive follow-up emails with suggested programmes to improve your skills even further

At the end of the course, you’ll be able to train yourself with confidence and competence!

  • Week 1: Building blocks and tools to master various squat techniques, using goblets, barbells, and split squats
  • Week 2: Deadlifts and finding the right technique for you, inc hinge pattern programme
  • Week 3: Hip thrusts and accessory glute work, inc leg day programme
  • Week 4: Upper body, inc a selection of push/pull movements
  • Week 5: Nutrition seminar + Q&A on how to fuel your body to train
  • Week 6: Warm-up, cool down and pre / re-hab with The Treatment Room, tailored to certain training session
  • Week 7: Putting it all together in a training session and recapping the most complex moves

Katie Sindle: Katie’s focuses are on weight training and strength develop, with a primary passion for building women’s confidence to train strength. A Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer, she has also competed in triathlons and half-marathons. Previous Girls Who Lift graduate Helen says of Katie: “She will push you to your limits, but work within your boundaries”

Naomi Symmonds: With a Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training, Naomi specialises in free-weight training – particularly endurance, strength and hypertrophy – plus core strength training, high-intensity interval training, circuit training and increasing lean muscle mass. She is a member of the Surrey Roller Girls Roller Derby team and has a keen interest in skating, climbing, handstands and vegan nutrition.
