Who can apply
Places on the HPAS Scheme are available to undergraduate and postgraduate applicants of outstanding sporting ability along with current students who meet the necessary criteria. Athletes will be able to show evidence of current performance at national or international but applications are also welcome from those who have played high level sport and demonstrate potential to reach the above standards.
Outstanding performers from any sport will be considered but an emphasis is placed on the following Performance Sports:
- Badminton
- Basketball
- Netball
- Rowing
- Rugby
- Squash
- Swimming
Successful applicants will be enrolled on the HPAS Scheme and dependent on the individual sport, will represent the university in BUCS and national competition.
HPASS offers are only made to students who have gained an offer of a place or normal admission to a course based on their academic qualifications. However, it is not necessary to wait for an offer of a place before submitting your registration of interest.
