26 September 2012

surreysportspark

To allow contractors to complete the final stage of the road improvements at the entrance of Surrey Sports Park, road diversions will be in operation from Monday 1 October.

Monday 1 October - Sunday 7 October

The entrance of Surrey Sports Park will be temporarily closed from Monday 1 October - Sunday 7 October. Access to Surrey Sports Park will be via Gill Avenue (heading west past the Royal Surrey County Hospital) and around the back of the Manor Park Residences.

The diversion should only take an extra 4 minutes. Pedestrians can access the Sports Park through the normal route.

From Monday 8 October onwards

To complete the final stage of the road improvement project contractors are due to remove the current roundabout from Monday 8 October onwards.

Access to Surrey Sports Park will be via the normal route up Richard Meyjes Road. However the outbound route will be closed.

When exiting the Park a one-way-system will be put into operation - all vehicles exiting Surrey Sports Park will need to continue via Francis Crick Drive and Occam Road/Gill Avenue (around the back of the Manor Park residences and down past the Royal Surrey County Hospital).
