Surrey Sports Park welcomes a new dance instructor.
26 September 2012

We are excited to welcome a new Latin and Ballroom instructor Pamela into the Surrey Sport Park team. With her strong background in teaching, she will be a great asset to the Latin and Ballroom classes, helping to turn the dream of becoming a Latin and Ballroom dancer into a reality.
Pamela started to dance at the age of 10, beginning with Ballet. After 2 years she began attending Saturday morning dance classes for Ballroom and Latin American dancing at the famous Hammersmith Palace. From there she went on to dance on the ‘open circuit’ as a junior, becoming a top 10 dance champion.
She continued to dance in the Amateur ranks with some success, then turning professional at the young age of 19, Pamela danced her way round the world on cruise ships giving cabaret performances and teaching classes and private lessons on board. From there she teamed up with one of the greatest dancers of that time, Geoffrey Clapham, and together their main achievement was to win the Rising Star Latin American Championships at Blackpool in 1975, as well as many other titles in the UK and abroad. With Geoffrey, Pamela embarked upon her teaching career, coaching and lecturing all over the world.
Pamela has continued her love of teaching, enjoying the challenge of helping children and couples realise their dreams in becoming first class dancers!
Our Latin and Ballroom course begins on Monday 8 October and we have an exciting discount offer running until 7th October for all early birds.
