New Slovakian Player Joins Surrey Heat

Surrey Heat is delighted to announce that 6’8’’ Peter Simek will join its BBL team this season.  As a former player with the Junior Slovakian National Team and at NCAA University of California Irvine, Simek has impressed Surrey Heat’s head coach and secured one of the last remaining spots in the team.

Creon Raftopoulos, head coach at Surrey Heat commented, "I'm really excited to have Peter join the Heat and strengthen our front court. He is an agile big man who controls the paint and can also step out to shoot from deep. He is an unselfish player who does all the work that might not show on the stats sheet and I believe he will fit in perfectly with his team-mates."

Peter Simek added, "I am excited about joining the Heat and cannot wait to train and play with my new team mates.  I am looking forward to the whole experience of being a Surrey Heat player."
