Cricelli signs for the Heat

6'7” Samuel Cricelli – a member of the England Men’s Basketball Team, has signed a contract to join Surrey Heat.

The Italian-British national brings a wealth of experience to Surrey Heat after playing with Plymouth Raiders, Worcester Wolves and Mersey Tigers in the BBL.

Surrey Heat’s head coach, Creon Raftopoulos commented, "Sam is a player I have always respected. I like the versatility he brings to a team.  At 6'7'' he plays positions 2,3 and 4 comfortably – and as he knows the BBL well, he will have no problem's adjusting to our style of play. I am delighted that he has agreed to join our team."

Samual Cricelli said, "I'm happy to be with Surrey Heat. It's early days but I'm excited to see what our new team is capable of. I am looking forward to the new season. In fact, I can't wait to get started!"
