Fulham open with 5 Goal Triumph

Surrey Sports Park partners Fulham FC opened their 2012/13 Premier League campaign with a comfortable 5-0 victory at Craven Cottage, while Harlequins nailed a double friendly win at The Stoop.

Martin Jol’s men sit top of the Premier League after the first weekend of action following an easy win against Norwich City on Saturday afternoon. A brace for debutant Mladen Petric sealed a fine first day win for the West Londoners, while Damien Duff, Alex Kacaniklic and Steve Sidwell all netted to complete the rout.

Quins finished off their pre-season fixture line up with a double victory at The Stoop over London Scottish and Heineken Cup pool rivals Connaught Rugby. A mixture of youth and experience featured in the sides for each fixture, giving Quins confidence entering their defence of the Aviva Premiership title at the start of September.
