15 August 2012

This weekend (18th/19th August 2012) Surrey Sports Park is working in conjunction with Join In UK to offer a range of free sports activities and sessions for all ages and abilities!
Following the end of the London 2012 Olympic Games at the weekend, the nation is inspired to get active, so we are giving you the chance to try out a new sport or simply have fun with friends and family in a range of free sessions as Surrey Sports Park looks to continue the Olympic legacy!
There will be 14 different sessions across the weekend, including sports such as football, basketball and squash, and all ages and abilities are welcome to come down and join in the fun.

Paul Blanchard, CEO of Surrey Sports Park, said: “We are very happy to be playing a part in the nationwide Join In UK Weekend initiative at Surrey Sports Park. We want to play as much of a part in the legacy of the Olympics as we can and this is a step towards that goal.
“It is important that people of all ages have access to high quality and affordable facilities to enjoy sport in their community. A whole weekend of free sport during the school holidays is a great excuse to get out and enjoy the inspiration that London 2012 has provided our country.”
This weekend also marks that start of the 2012/13 Premier League football season so be sure to catch the opening weekend of fixtures live on Sky in The Bench Bar, with a range of great food and drink offers for guests including a 4 pint pitcher of Becks, 4 bottles of Cobra or a bottle of house wine for £10 or a jug of Alligator Cooler of Woo-Woo cocktails for £12.50!
