Quins Kick off Pre-season with French Encounter

Harlequins Rugby Union face French Top 14 side Castres Olympique in their first pre-season friendly of the summer this evening (Thursday).

A side consisting of a mixture of youth and experience will feature in the fixture after the squad took part in a week long training camp in the south of France.

They faced the same Castres side in a friendly last August, with the French outfit coming out tops with a 42-21 victory.

Before leaving the county the Quins players also made use of the facilities within the Surrey Human Performance Institute for pre-season health screenings, including assessments of their quadriceps to hamstring ratios to identify players with increased injury risks.
