Super Saturday at Surrey Sports Park
02 August 2012

On Saturday, 4 August, 25 Olympic Golds will be won, including Rowing, Swimming and Cycling. It’s the most glittering day of the Games. It’s the perfect day for you to come down to Surrey Sports Park and enjoy some free sport.
Swimming
In the morning is the Women’s Triathlon Final, including Laura Bennett (USA), Sarah Groff (USA), Gwen Jorgensen (USA) and Elizabeth Bravo (ECU), who had their Pre-Games training camp at Surrey Sports Park. The triathlon includes a 1.5km swim which is 30 lengths of the SSP 50m pool. Come down and set your own PB with the full 50m length open and FREE to use between 9-11am.
From 11:30am - 2pm the pool will be available and FREE to use with 25m lane swimming and a family friendly swim session in the shallow end, so come down on your own or bring your mini Phelps and Addlingtons and use the pool for FREE.
Badminton
In the afternoon the Women will be playing out the medal matches in both the singles and doubles. 4 Badminton courts will be FREE to use for anybody from 11am – 3pm. First come, first served.
Tennis
If that’s too much indoor sports, then why not emulate the women and men in Saturday’s singles and doubles finals and use one of SSP’s 8 tennis courts for FREE between 12 – 3pm.
