Spanish swimming team arrive at Surrey Sports Park

With one week until the games begin, the Spanish swimming team arrive at Surrey Sports Park for their pre-games training camp.

The Spanish men’s 100m and 200m backstroke competitors Rando and Wildeboer as well as women’s freestyle swimmers Villaecija and Belmonte, amongst others, will all be using the 50 metre pool for last minute intense training before heading to London.

Spain will be training alongside Sweden and Singapore in the run up to the games, and the pool is staying open so come down and you might just be swimming next to a future Olympic medallist. Check the weekly timetables here for public swimming times over the coming weeks.
