The Olympic torch arrives in Guildford today with just one week left until London 2012 begins

The Olympic Torch Relay arrives in Guildford today! The torch will be making its way across Surrey to Guildford Cathedral at 6pm where it will then make its last journey of the day to Stoke Park. 

With just one week to go until the opening ceremony, Guildford is holding a ticketed celebration event at Stoke Park to welcome the flame and send it on its way to London with live music, a fairground and regional food and drink. Make sure you catch the Surrey Sports Park staff at the event where there will be a host of sporting activities to take part in.

Please be aware we are anticipating that some of the roads around the Sports Park and the University will be busy from 16.00-19.30 to allow the torch to pass through.
