Nigeria basketball team arrive at Surrey Sports Park

Nigeria have now arrived for their Pre Olympic training camp at Surrey Sports Park after seizing the last men's basketball berth at London 2012 with an 88-73 victory over the Dominican Republic. 

Nigeria will make their basketball Olympic debut in London after defeating the odds with recent wins against Lithuania and Greece. Their success was in large part down to the performance of NBA veteran forward Ike Diogu, who grabbed 25 points and 10 rebounds in their final match. 

Diogu and the rest of the team will play in group A in the preliminary round in London, training here at Surrey Sports Park until they face Tunisia in their first game on 29 July.
