Dominica and Cayman Islands arrive at Surrey Sports Park

16 July 2012

Two Caribbean nations have arrived at Surrey Sports Park to begin their preparations for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Dominica will be placing all of their hopes on just two athletes at the Olympic Games, Erison Hurtault, who will take part in the men’s 400m event, and Luan Gabriel, running in the women's 200m sprint.

Three athletes from the Cayman Islands are staying in Guildford including continental Junior Championships bronze medallists Ronald Forbes (men’s 110m hurdles) and Kemar Hyman (men’s 100m), and 2012 Commonwealth Games gold medal winner Cydonie Mothersille (women’s 100m & 200m).

Both teams will have catering and accommodation provided by Surrey Sports Park and the University of Surrey.

Further nations are due to arrive throughout this week. Visit our Olympic Blog to keep up to date on all of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic training camps at Surrey Sports Park.
