Tennis Club Championships Results

At the culmination of six weeks of matches, on Saturday 30 June, Surrey Sports Park Tennis Club held its first Club Championship Finals Day. Despite blustery conditions, there was some excellent tennis played and some very close matches.

Men's Singles:

Andy Peacock v Toby Eves (W)

Toby took the first set by 6-4 and an equally close second set went to a tie break which Toby won 8-6.

Ladies Singles:

Jennie Holbrook (W) v. Jane Irwin

Jennie triumphed after a close match by 7-6, 6-3

Men's Doubles:

Nathan Stanley and Andy Peacock v. Christos Mavis and Richard Hanna (W)

(7-6, 2-6, 6-1)

Ladies Doubles:

Jennie Holbrook and Edina Szucs (W) v. Emma Gaymer and Jane Irwin

(6-2, 6-2)

Mixed Doubles:

Christos Mavis and Jennie Holbrook (W) v. Andy Peacock and Jane Irwin

(7-5, 6-3)
