BT Art of Sport Collection arrives at Surrey Sports Park

An exhibition showcasing a selection of Olympic-inspired art produce by the BT Art of Sport project has gone on show at Surrey Sports Park.

The exhibition features sculpture, painting and photography from 12 leading UK artists that have been specially commissioned by the London 2012 premier partner BT as part of the forthcoming Cultural Olympiad programme. The participating artists represent some of the UK’s most exciting artistic talent.

Working with Team GB’s foremost Olympic and Paralympic athletes, the initiative will produce a body of work that will serve to re-tell the story of the London 2012 Olympics, capturing the dedication and commitment of these elite athletes and conveying the drama and passion of these historic sporting events.

Visitors to Surrey Sports Park can enjoy the exhibition for free and view the pieces in our reception area and the balcony overlooking the Climbing Centre. A different selection of art from the same project is also on show at the Lewis Elton Gallery on the University of Surrey’s Stag Hill campus.
