Team Surrey Colours Award Winners 2012

13 individual and club awards were given out at the annual Team Surrey Colours Ball on Saturday night, recognising various levels of achievement for students and coaches at the University of Surrey.

Over 400 attendees celebrated the achievements at G Live in Guildford, in what was the highest attended Colours Ball ever!

The evening was hosted by outgoing Vice President of Sport and Recreation Trung and awards were presented by various members of University, Students' Union and Surrey Sports Park staff and volunteers.

Surrey Sports Park would like to congratulate all nominees and award winners for contributing to a successful year of sport for Team Surrey!

Mayors Trophy (Outstanding community committment): Andrew Grant & Sean Cassidy (Rugby)

Sally Edie Trophy (Coach of the year): Andy Reynolds (Fencing)

:Team Surrey Trophy (Committee member of the year): James Gregory (Surf & Wake)

Sue Jupe Plate (Most contribution to multiple sports): James Godwin (Golf & Swimming)

Leggett Trophy (Sports person of the year): Jonny Tye (Kayaking)

The Sports Exec Trophy (Greatest contribution to their club and sport over 3 years or more): Nick Bright (Rowing)

Club awards

The Steve the Stag Award (Most charitable club): Fencing Club

Barry Hitchcock Cup (Most sustainable club): Mountaineering Club

Warden of Colours Trophy (Best administered club): Trampolining Club

University of Surrey Trophy (Most improved club): Netball Club

The Students' Union Cup (Best club in non-BUCS sports): Fencing Club
