National Target for Climbing Juniors
12 May 2012

Two of Surrey Sports Park’s elite junior climbers recently qualified for the BMC Youth Climbing Series National Finals following excellent performances in regional competitions.
James Grealey and Phoebe Nelson (who came 2nd and 3rd respectively in their age categories) will head to The Edinburgh International Climbing Centre at the end of June to take on some of the country’s top young climbers.
Harry Stubbs (12th), Rachel Parker (10th) and Phobe Dyer (11th) also took part and put in respectable performances despite losing out on qualification to the finals.
The London and South East region is the largest and most competitive area in the country with several of the top ranked young competition climbers over the last few years coming from the area, making these performances even more impressive for the youngsters.
Everyone at Surrey Sports Park wishes James and Phoebe good luck in the finals in June!
