England Triumph in Lacrosse Home Internationals

Surrey Sports Park played host to two lacrosse home international tournaments last weekend, with English girls coming out tops in both.

England "Blue" were crowned champions after producing an impressive run of results over weekend. England opened the tournment with a win over European Championship contenders Wales 18-5 and went from strength to strength with wins over Scotland and England "White" to secure the title.

In the "B" Tournament the junior (development) England side performed as well as the senior side with an equally impressive run of results to be crowned B Internationals Champions.

Janet Kiddle, organiser of the 2012 Home International Series said: “This was the first year that English Lacrosse had held the championships at Surrey Sports Park and we were very impressed by the facilities. The pitches were first rate which is very important in the fast paced game of women's lacrosse. Players and spectators enjoyed the atmosphere too.”
