The npower Big Dribble is coming to Surrey Sports Park!
24 April 2012

We’re getting ready to welcome The npower Big Dribble to Surrey Sports Park this Friday!
The npower Big Dribble is an amazing opportunity for the Great British public to get into the Olympic spirit as hockey comes to a town near you! We want you to join us at Surrey Sports Park this Friday as people of all ages and abilities take the chance to pick up a stick and take part between 9:30am and 11am.
Join celebrities, Great Britain hockey stars, local communities and thousands of others in an attempt to set a record for dribbling hockey balls 2012km across Great Britain.
Host of Channel 4's 'Sunday Brunch' Tim Lovejoy will join Surrey Storm Netball's Tamsin Greenway and Rachel Dunn as they do their bit towards the 2012km target.
It’s so easy to get involved:
• Just turn up, pick up a stick and dribble the fun 100 metre course
• Wish Great Britain’s hockey teams ‘good luck’ ahead of the Olympic Games by writing a message on our giant hockey ball
• Come along, meet us and speak to local hockey club members
Don't worry if you've never picked up a hockey stick before, it's all part of the fun. Our team of dedicated Hockey Makers will be on hand to help. Your 100m dribble will be added to our nationwide totaliser and, when we reach 2012km, we've set the record! You'll receive a certificate for taking part and your photo will appear in The npower Big Dribble gallery for you to share with friends and family.
If you have previously played hockey, why not bring a non-playing friend along?
The npower Big Dribble supports WellChild, the UK’s national charity for sick children and is part of Great Britain Hockey’s Hockey Nation programme. Text BIGD123 to 70070 (£3 is then donated to WellChild).
