Surrey Sports Park forge Tormead Partnership

17 April 2012

Surrey Sports Park is delighted to announce an exciting partnership with Tormead School in Guildford.

The partnership allows the all-girls school to use the astro-turf pitches for weekly hockey training and to host home fixtures. Students will also be able to use a range of other facilities on site, including the 50m swimming pool, climbing centre and health and fitness suite.

There is also scope for holding whole school events at Surrey Sports Park, including the School’s popular House Sports Afternoon.

Upon agreement of the partnership Tormead School said that they are looking forward to “a successful and fruitful partnership with Surrey Sports Park” as they aim to present their students with a number of different high quality sporting opportunities.

Paul Blanchard, Surrey Sports Park CEO, said: “Surrey Sports Park welcomes the pupils, staff and families of Tormead School with open arms. It is very important to us that we provide accessible sports facilities to the whole Surrey community and this partnership will allow many young people in Guildford to develop their sporting ability.”
