Storm trio to face Barbados in test series

10 April 2012

Three Surrey Storm players are on England duty this week as the National Superleague takes an international break for a three test series against Barbados.

Tamsin Greenway, Rachel Dunn and Pamela Cookey were all selected to represent England last month and have been away at a training camp since last week's amazing victory over Northern Thunder at Surrey Sports Park.

Cookey's recent excellent performances for Surrey Storm have also earned her the captain's armband for her country.

England, ranked 3rd in the world, will face a well-known Barbados side in a three match series beginning with a clash this evening at the LG Arena in Birmingham. The girls will then travel to the Sport Training Village at the University of Bath on Thursday evening, with the series coming to a close on Saturday afternoon at Storm's very own Surrey Sports Park.

Netball fans in and around Surrey showed their excitement for seeing international on their doorstep when tickets for the Guildford leg sold out in just 48 hours! Tickets for the games in Birmingham and Bath are still available.

We will bring you reports on how England fair against Barbados throughout the week on the Surrey Storm website, but updates will be available from England Netball on their website and on Twitter.
