Surrey Sports Park Entrance Road Diversion

As part of the ongoing road improvements to Egerton Road/Gill Avenue/Richard Meyjes Road the entrance to Surrey Sports Park will be temporarily closed from Friday 30 March (7am) to Friday 6 March (7am).
Access to and from Surrey Sports Park will be via Gill Avenue (heading west, past the Royal Surrey County Hospital) and around the back of the University Manor Park Residences. To avoid inconvenience the route will be fully signposted in both directions helping guide drivers to and from Surrey Sports Park.
The diversion should only take an extra 4 minutes, but we would advise drivers to plan ahead by leaving a little bit earlier if coming to Surrey Sports Park.
Pedestrians can still access the Sports Park via the normal route.
The closure of SSP's entrance/exit is part of the ongoing multi-million pound project to tackle congestion on Egerton Road and the roundabout outside Surrey Sports Park, the Surrey Research Park and Royal Surrey County Hospital. The completion of this work will provide greater access for all SSP's customers.
