18 March 2012

Surrey Sports Park is delighted to announce the sponsorship of the Young Volunteer Award at Surrey Cricket’s upcoming Outstanding Services to Cricket Awards (OSCAs) Night in August.
The event, to be held at the famous Oval Ground, celebrates the achievements and contributions of the 1000s of cricket volunteers in Surrey, with the Young Volunteer Award focusing on the efforts of youths across the county that are helping to ensure the game continues to thrive in many communities.
Upon securing the sponsorship Simon Hards, Surrey Cricket’s Development Manager, said: “Surrey Cricket Board are delighted to have the Surrey Sports Park on board to sponsor the Young Volunteer Award in 2012. Surrey Sports Park is one of the best sporting facilities in Europe and beyond so to have an association is fantastic. University has a long history of delivering volunteer led programmes which makes their sponsorship of the Young Volunteer Award very apt.”
Paul Blanchard, Chief Executive of Surrey Sports Park, said: “Surrey Sports Park is proud to be sponsoring the Young Volunteer Award at the Surrey Cricket Board OSCAs. We are dedicated to providing people of all ages and backgrounds with opportunities to get involved in sport and this event is celebrating the hard work of these volunteers in the world of cricket. This award will encourage young people to continue their commitment to various projects and increase their valuable contribution to Surrey Cricket.”
The Surrey OSCAs will take place on Tuesday 21st August.
