New England train at Sports Park ahead of Six Nations

A new look England trained at Surrey Sports Park ahead of Saturday’s RBS 6 Nations clash with Scotland at Murrayfield.

New captain Chris Robshaw returned to his Harlequins’ training base with fellow Quins’ players Mike Brown, Jordan Turner-Hall and the rest of his England teammates.

Interim Head Coach Stuart Lancaster has named three new caps in his first line-up, with five more uncapped players in the match 22.

Saracens’ Brad Barritt and Owen Farrell will form a new centre pairing at international level, while Northampton Saints’ Phil Dowson makes his debut at No. 8.

Head Coach Stuart Lancaster said, “ We have been impressed with how the whole group has come together in the last ten days and we have done a lot of work on and off the field.

“Now is the time to turn all that into a performance against Scotland that we can all be proud of. It is a massive challenge – Murrayfield, the first game of the Six Nations – but one we are relishing.”

England side to face Scotland:

Ben Foden; Chris Ashton; Brad Barritt, Owen Farrell, David Strettle; Charlie Hodgson; Ben Youngs; Alex Corbisiero, Dylan Hartley, Dan Cole; Mouritz Botha, Tom Palmer; Tom Croft, Chris Robshaw (captain), Phil Dowson.

Replacements:

Rob Webber, Matt Stevens, Geoff Parling, Ben Morgan, Lee Dickson, Jordan Turner-Hall, Mike Brown.
