Nine Quins in National Call-up
11 January 2012

A record total of 9 Harlequins players face the exciting prospect of representing England in the Senior and Saxons Elite squads.
Following a number of retirements within the England squad and a reshuffle in response to a disappointing World Cup performance, interim head coach Stuart Lancaster has named a new-look England squad ahead of the annual tournament, including a number previously uncapped.
Harlequins captain and flanker Chris Robshaw and full back Mike Brown have received call-ups to the Senior squad, alongside centre Jordon Turner-Hall and prop Joe Marler. George Robson, Karl Dickson, Ugo Monye, Chris Brooker and Joe Gray have all been selected to form part of the Saxons squad.
Upon selection, Chris Robshaw said on Twitter: “Thanks for all the messages am so chuffed to be in the EPS and really looking forward to joining up with the other lads in a couple of weeks.” Karl Dickson was equally happy: “Thanks guys for all the messages. So happy to be selected and join up with the squad.”
England’s first 6 Nations fixture is on February 4th against Scotland. All of England’s games will be shown live in The Bench Bar, with great food and drink offers to match!
Full player reactions are available to read on the official Harlequins Rugby Union website.
Surrey Sports Park congratulates all of the players on their selection.
