Quins Edge Chiefs out of New Years Win

Harlequins turned their Christmas period around with an 11-9 victory over mid-table Exeter Chiefs.

Exeter came close to a shock win over the Premiership leaders, only for Rory Clegg to score a late penalty and ensure that Quins didn’t suffer a second defeat in a week.

The game’s only try came early in the first half with Danny Care taking on the Chiefs’ back line and just carrying the ball over the line.

The lead changed hands a number of times throughout the second half but the strength of Conor O’shea’s men ensured that they returned to winning ways.
