Toulouse Too Good
10 December 2011

Harlequins fell to their first defeat of the season as they failed to match the strength of top of the table French outfit Toulouse in Heineken Cup action.
Toulouse were dominant from the off, building an 11-3 lead going into the break with Quins’ only points coming from a Nick Evans penalty.
Harlequins came out stronger in the second half and full-back Mike Brown gave them some early hope with a try, later converted by Evans. But the power and discipline of the visitors was too much for Quins as they eventually crumbled to a 21-10 defeat.
The result puts Toulouse at the top of Pool 6 of the Heineken Cup, now 4 points ahead of Harlequins who sit in second place. The full match report can be read here.
Harlequins will have another attempt at defeating their French rivals as they travel across the Channel next Sunday for the return fixture.
