Mark McGhee trains new coaching talent
09 November 2011

Ex-Reading and Aberdeen Manager Mark McGhee was at Surrey Sports Park yesterday passing his valuable experience and knowledge onto a new breed of local football coaches.
Working with the Independent Coach Education group, Mark gave advice to a small group of budding football coaches to help them turn their own teams into attacking geniuses, covering areas including counter attacking, playing shapes and patterns, and individual skill development.
Mark was a professional footballer for over 20 years and played over 500 games for a range of clubs including Hamburg, Celtic and Newcastle, turning his hand to management in the early 90’s, enjoying spells in charge of Reading, Brighton and most recently Aberdeen.
Course organiser Dan Scargill from Independent Coach Education said: "Surrey Sports Park is an outstanding venue and one of the best that we use here in the UK. Regardless of the sport our client's feedback always consists of the professional set up and ambiance that they experience at Surrey Sports Park. It’s a fantastic facility with a great team working behind the scenes."
