Hot addition to Heat this weekend

Following a week of shake-up's in the Heat camp, the team have signed a new forward for the coming weekend. 

Power forward, Shaun Durant will be playing for Guildford Heat this weekend. The former Leicester Riders and Worthing Thunder player will be boosting the team following the departure of Hermann Opoku.

Head coach, Creon Raftopoulos commented, 

“Shaun has signed a week-long contract with Guildford Heat but there is scope for him to join the team permanently if an agreement can be reached".

“He has already trained with us and he brings a great deal of experience in the BBL to Guildford Heat. The departures of Hermann and Kandi have left us with one natural forward, Mike Martin and our new signing, Mike Copeland, will not be in the country until next week.  I had to move quickly to secure Shaun Durant and am delighted that he is in the squad for this weekend.”

Guildford Heat play Leicester Riders on Saturday 5 November at 7pm at Surrey Sports Park and an away game against Milton Keynes Lions on Sunday 6 November.
