Winning start in Surrey Cup for SSP Squash

The first team made a winning start to there home campaign against Wimbledon Lakeside in this years Surrey Cup Division 1.  After promotion last year we were keen to get points on the board in our bid for survival.

We welcomed club no. 1 Joel Hinds making his debut and he got us of to the perfect start beating Stacey Ross 3-0.  Elliot Knight who started studying at the University this year then followed this up with a battling 3-2 win saving 6 match points in the 5th.  Chris Truswell lost 3-1 agains Irish international Steve Richardson at 2nd string before Graeme Williams Guarenteed the win with a 3-0 win at number 3.  The match finished 4-1 after Dom Prices' opponent withdrew giving us 17 vital points.

We are grateful to all those who came down to watch and support us and everyone was excited about the standard and quality on show especially some of the juniors who stayed up late
