Heat Adds Power with signing of Kandi Mukole
23 September 2011

A former member of the Under 20s and Under 18s Belgium national basketball team, Kandi Mukole is the latest signing for Guildford Heat.
The 6ft 8in power forward joins from BC Carnieres in Belgium, having played the previous season at Howard University in Washington DC.
Creon Raftopoulos commented, “From watching Kandi on film in the limited minutes he played in college and the improvement he showed playing in Belgium, I believe we have signed a player who will fit into our style of play and help us on the defensive end. He can play with his back to the basket and can attack off the dribble, finishing strong at the rim. With Mike Martin, Hermann Opoku and Kandi Mukole we have three power forwards who all rebound and run the floor like guards.''
Kandi Mukole said, “I want to thank Guildford Heat for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent. I am looking forward to developing my skills and giving 120% everyday! I hope to help Guildford Heat win as many games as possible.”
Guildford Heat’s first BBL game of the season is a BBL Trophy game against Plymouth Raiders on Sunday 2 October at 3pm at Surrey Sports Park.
