Surrey Graduate takes 6th place at World University Games
25 August 2011

Former University of Surrey student Margaret Adeoye has finished in an impressive sixth place in the 200m final at the World University Games in China. The former Business Management student finished in a fast time of 23.49 seconds.
Margaret’s selection for the GB Athletics squad follows her success in last year’s BUCS outdoor championships where she bagged two gold medals in the 100 and 200m finals, running personal bests in both events.
Talking about her experience at the games, Adeoye said:
"The experience was amazing, every time I think about it, it really brings a tear to my eye. I cannot believe how great it was. The humidity was difficult for me but I gave the games all I could and am very happy with my results. With the Olympics less than a year it has given me great confidence to pursue making the team"
