England bounce back to win bronze
10 July 2011
England Netball bounced back from yesterday's defeat against New Zealand Silver Ferns to take the bronze medal at the World Championships, beating Jamaica 70 - 49.
Having trained at Surrey Sports Park before leaving for the world championships in Singpore, England Netball were confident of going all the way to the final. Unfortunately the Silver Ferns were too strong yesterday and England had to put the disappointment behind them to ensure they didn't come away empty handed..
And that is exactly what they did in fanatical style not giving Jamaica a chance and taking the bronze medal. The final will now take place between New Zealand and Australia and England must now look forward to the World Netball Series in November in Liverpool.
