Surrey Youth Games kicks off

The Surrey Youth Games kicks off today at Surrey Sports Park with children from all over the county representing their boroughs in a variety of sports.
The event sees over 2000 participants compete in badminton, boccia, boxing, football, hockey, netball, squash and tennis on Saturday with the event concluding on Sunday with basketball, cricket, hockey, judo, rugby and swimming.
Event Manager, Linda Jacks said 'There are over 2000 participants and we are really excited about the weekend. This is the second consecutive year that Surrey Sports Park has hosted the games and we hope all the participants have an enjoyable experience.'
