Play-off Preview: Storm All Set For Bath

27 May 2011

Surrey Storm are 'fully prepared' for Team Bath in their huge play-off match at the Bath Sports Village tonight.

That's the view of  Storm captain Tamsin Greenway, who's side travel to rivals Bath tonight for the first FNSL playoff. Greenway insists that Storm can repeat their league performance from a few weeks ago and get that all important away win that will secure a place in the play-off semi-final.

England international and former Team Bath player Greenway said: "After beating Bath a few weeks ago and drawing away to Mavericks, it's great to be coming into Friday night's game in great form. We have put on some fantastic away displays, and we know if we can keep performing at the levels we have, we'll be in with a strong chance.

"Some have pointed to Storm having the psychological edge given our 60-47 victory in our last game at Bath, but we all know the play-off is a new game and a completely different challenge. Team Bath will be bringing their A-game to the court, and will be looking to put things right in front of their home fans. Both teams have an abundance of talent on court and the match will be decided by a few key moments.

"The team have been training hard and are now fully prepared for tomorrow night's game. We'll be going all out to secure our place in the second play-off versus Thunder or Mavericks and hopefully on to the Grand Final."

The winner of Friday's game will face the loser between Mavericks and Northern Thunder, which is due to be played at 3pm on Saturday 29th May, for a place in the Grand Finals against their game's victor on Thursday 9 June.

The match will be shown on Wednesday June 1st, 6pm on Sky Sports 4.
