Surrey perfrom well at BUCS National Champs in Sheffield

Ultimate frisbee, climbing and trampolining teams represented the University of Surrey in their yearly competitions at the BUCS National Championships in Sheffield last week.

The trampolining team finished an impressive second in the overall team event - a truly great achievement. Rebecca Hardwick was Surrey's best finisher with an 8th place finish in the Tier 1 Advanced Ladies.

Elsewhere the Ultimate frisbee team finished third in division 2 behind UEA and Loughborough. 

In climbing, the first team finished 42nd whilst the second team finished 76th.

Mark Garfoot, Performance Sports Manager at Surrey Sports Park, said, "It's great to have three teams up in Sheffield competing at the BUCS National Championships. The teams' performances build on our new sports strategy at the University of Surrey and continue to build upon one of our most successful years in sport."
