British Climbing Champion Gaz Parry Visits Surrey Sports Park
18 March 2011

Surrey Sports Park was visited by six-times British Climbing Champion Gaz Parry yesterday as he set some challenging new routes on the climbing wall. Commenting on the wall, Parry explained that it “ticked all the boxes, offering something for everyone from the expert climber to the beginner”.
Parry has been a keen climber since an early age when he used to go hill walking with his dad in the Lake District and Wales. From the age of 16 Parry was dedicated to climbing and has been the British Climbing Champion six times. He now lives and works in Spain.
Parry has set 4 routes and 6 boulder problems for climbers to try on the wall, the hardest routes being set at level 7C.
