Surrey Sports Park hosts the second Junior Inter County Finals
18 March 2011

With the dust still settling on the first Junior Inter County Finals held at Lilleshall last weekend, more Junior Inter County teams will descend on Surrey Sports Park this weekend to vie for the Under 17 and Under 13 titles. None of last years winners have reached the finals, so 4 new counties will be crowned Inter County Champions on Sunday afternoon.

Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Sussex and Hertfordshire
With holders Gloucestershire not reaching the finals, Yorkshire will be looking to go one better than last seasons 2nd place will be headed by nationally ranked 3, Taminder Gata Aura – fresh from his teams U19 victory last weekend. 5th ranked Ashley Davies will spearhead new finalists Derbyshire, while Sussex look strong at the top of the order with 12th and 13th ranked Cameron Western and Stuart Allcock. Hertfordshire also have two top 20 ranked boys at 1st and 2nd strings in Angus Gillums (14) and Harry Faulkner (16)

Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Northumbria and Surrey

Favourites however must be Warwickshire headed by U17 No 1 Chloe Pearson. Northumbria with Lucy Beecroft (11) will look to go one better than runners up spot last season.
