Elite and Performance Sport
The Elite Sports Programme (ESP) provides structured support to individual student athletes at the University of Surrey so as to enable them to excel in both their sporting and academic careers, whilst raising the profile and standard of sport at Surrey.
The aim of the ESP is to provide individual practical solutions and services to students who have a talent and commitment to fulfil their potential within their chosen sport and academic arena.

- Workshops & seminars in relevant topics
- Free Laptop Loan
- Sport Science Support & Advice
- Link into County and Regional Support Programmes
In return athletes are asked to honour as many University of Surrey sporting fixtures as possible and assist the university in promoting the profile of sport at Surrey. Applicants are expected to show recent achievements and a commitment to developing their performances.
Applications are taken through September and October each year and any athlete who has achieved senior, U21 or U18 (or equivalent) International honours in their sport will be considered. Applications will also be considered from high level regional and county athletes.
